As an expat living in Doha, Keith and I live a fairly low key lifestyle, we’ve been here for the last 8 years, and like anybody else it becomes a routine life; we are here to work, especially in summer. But now it is ‘winter’ season in Doha, and it is a very mild winter, as the temperature is really very nice, and more and more activities are held outdoors, simple activities just like fishing along the Doha Corniche early in the morning:
or a picnic on the grass nearly at the same location:
The authorities contribute by having an international speed boat event and claiming themselves as “The World Capital of Power boating”:
Or down in the city, meet up with friends for a cup of coffee:
well, this is a weekend meet up before going cruising around town for the bikers:
As for us, I think we are happy to be a bystander and watch the action.
Seeing the motorcyclists makes me wonder how the driving is there. Is it a bit safer than the UAE, where the local boys are all reckless drivers?

I guess there are not much difference from the UAE, the only difference maybe there are not as many high way yet in Doha compare to Dubai….
